An A4 person made a hand made amplifier. I'm not that into doing that so I started looking around. I found this site, http://www.hobbytron.net/ampindex.html.
Question is what do you guys think I need? Basically I have an ipod with a long cable back to a CD Changer adapter. With the iPod turned up all the way, I get alternator noise and noise from the iPod electronics itself. Same goes for my laptop.

A simple diode, coil, capacitor will work.
Rat-Shack has these parts.
D1= 1N4001 diode, 50volt min.
L1= 1 Amp coil/choke. Actually, there is one in a assortment of coil parts.
C1= 250-470uf/16V capacitor (Watch the polarity.)

Radio-shack P/N = 273-1601

Or this.
Snap-Together Toroid Choke Core $7.99 Cat.#: 273-104

tap into the CDC connnections directly from the back of the symphony. and leave the blitzsafe adapter connected at the rear. you'll save yourself 15+ feet of return wires. that's where you're picking up all that noise. a couple ferrite cores can't hurt either.
