I have 96' A4.
My radio turns to SAFE mode and I don't know how to unlock. I have 4 digit code.
I do not have radio manual where the procedure should be on...
Please help.

With safe mode showing, press & hold TP & RDS for about 5 seconds until "1000" appears.
Use the 1-4 buttons to enter your code, i.e. if the code is 1932, press 1 once, press 2 nine times, 3 three times and 4 twice.
With the correct code entered press & hold the TP & RDS buttons until the radio comes on.

I have the procedure but not the code- How can I get the code without paying the damn dealer- I bought the car from a wholeseller in FL and the code from the original owner didn't come with it- Please help!
