Default I need to replace the flip-around Kenwood excelon head unit in my car...
... looking for something that's simple (not tons of little buttons like the Kenwood) and that has green night illumination. I don't know much about audio, but I bought the car with this Kenwood installed and it's really annoying me. Also, it has a Kenwood 6-disc changer unit and I'd be willing to change that to another brand also if that would give me better choices in terms of the dash unit. Suggestions?

Default Try Eclipse or Nakamichi for simplicity. Other brands are way too cluttered, IMO.
If you don't find anything by summertime, email me and I might have my Eclipse 55060 for sale.
