I saw the write-up for a pioneer d3 in an a4, but what about the a6? Questions inside

I have seen many double din units in both the a4 and a6, i even have both a sosche and metra kit for my 2001 a6, but they are not double din kits, they are two single din slots.
My question is: If i cut out the middle tab it will be slightly larger then the d3 unit is and since neither the sosche or metra kit came with mounting brackets, how will i mount the d3 to my dash? can i just use the kit as the trim piece or will it not fit correctly.
I was thinking of paying a shop to do this for me but if it is something i can tackle myself i would rather do that.
Thanks

He provides plenty of free technical advice on this forum, and you probably wouldn't only be buying the bracket, but also his technical expertise to a certain degree.

The 90 is for the A4.
This is the NEW version of this kit. Scosche sells this to AAMP/Bestkits, but the version I got from them was the old one without the 2-DIN plate or the ISO brackets. So get the NEW AU2390 branded Scosche for the time being.
The surface finish is very nice, but VERY inappropriate for the car. It's a sandpaper-looking finish. I'd personally spray this with a few coats of black Plasti-Dip before putting it in my car. (Remember that this process is stinky to high heaven!)
I can't access my photo host at the moment but will post pic later.
