Default IceLink causing Ipod screen problems?

Anyone have a problem like this? When my ipod is in the cradle for too long..the screen gets discolored, almost like when a TV is next to a magnet. I notice the Ipod gets warm too. Could the cradle me giving the Ipod too much power?

I think it's simply temperature related. The LCD scrren does not like high temps.
