Icelink Problem - "OK to disconnect" keeps cycling upon putting Ipod in cradle.

Icelink Problem - "OK to disconnect" keeps cycling upon putting Ipod in cradle.
Was working fine before I took my Symphony II (and the rest of my interior) out for sound deadening.
Now when I put my Ipod into the cradle, it gives me the "OK to disconnect" message for a second, goes back to the main Ipod menu, then returns to the "OK to disconnect" screen... ad infinitum.
I tried a hard reset of the Ipod and also disconnecting the car battery for 5 minutes to drain the juice from the Icelink... still no luck!
Anybody have any suggestions to get this thing working again?
