If I'm using the stock concert system w/o an amp, which front door speakers?
I'm not getting an amp -now at least. I've read that some speakers, e.g. MB Quarts, need the extra power to perform at their best. Are there good quality speakers that will work efficiently with the stock unit or am I just wasting my money on new speakers unless I get an amp?
My car is a 99.5 A4.

I ran a set of Kicker Impulse seperates with reasonable improvement (more)
You need to find a set of speakers that are highly sensitive, something over 90db would be good. This in an indication that they will run well with little power. BUT ... there is a reason why amplifiers are added. My advice get a small 2 channel amp and a nice set of seperates. But you must increase the speaker diameter from the stock 4" to 5 1/4" at minimum.
