If you had to mount a huge amp in the trunk, how would you do it? (m)

I have a Sony XM-7557 Mobile ES amp that is simply huge. It's like 25" long, 11" high, and 4 or so inches wide. It's a monster. I currently have it mounted to a board that's mounted to the backs of both seats. While I lose the rear split, I can still pass stuff through. I also have a pair of 10's in the trunk in a box.
So, is this the best place for the amp given it's size? Any thoughts, options, ideas? Also, completely sealing the trunk from the interior is not an option, I want to be able to pass things through.....
Thanks all!

That's where I got my MB Quart Adapters... $25! Anyways, I think you put me on to what I wanted... They have an A6 install that is exactly what I would want, trouble is it looks really really expensive..... Check it out.....

http://www.cartunes.com/installs/2000_A6/2000A6.htm</a

ive got a McIntosh MC4000M which is 34 inches long, about 3"high, and 12"wide. i made a false floor and have the amp, and audio controll EQX and 2 MB-Quart crossovers under plexi-glass. its not a bad setup but its not done, and already i want to get rid of it. i had a flat a few weeks ago, and well almost broke both my arms. i proped up the amp rack and had to work the spare out when all the sudden my support let loose. the amp weighs about 50lbs, and along with the other stuff and the piece of 3/4 plywood that is the size of the trunk, it hurt pretty damn bad. it just slamed down on my forearms. im thinking about making a setup like mark p's but ill have the amp facing forward behind the rear seats, and my box with 2 10's just in the trunk. the other stuff im thinking of mounting under the rear seat, i have no need to see it.

This is the best thing they did. A gain control **** for the sub right under your right knee. Totally out of sight. If you have a powerful sub attached to the stock head unit, you need this.
