Default I'm about to install some ICE in my b6S4 .. I need some opinions..

Hi guys..
I am going to install an audio system in my car very soon. What i have in mind is:
- Amps: Diamond/Phoenix Gold/JL
- Subs: JL, either 2 10" w6v2 or 1 13" w7
- Midbass: Dynaudio Esotar/GT/MK or Focal Utopia
- Rear Speakers: Focal Polykevlar or MBQuartz
- Helix/stinger capacitor.

What do you guys think? any suggestion? I really like those PG titanium amps. I had them in my old system but I'm thinking of trying something new.
I heard from some of my friends that 2 10" Subs won't do it for a B6, they said they can't feel it inside the car. Is that true? Cuz i don't think that is. One more thing, can an Alpine sound processor mate with a Pioneer head unit?

Thanks a lot!

Default high end

sorry your friend is wrong. you will be able to feel 2 10s, but that 13.5" w7 will destroy it in output, but personally i dont like the sound of the w7. they are much harder to install correctly, the w6v2 sound excellent imo.

i'd pass on the diamond amps. PG and JL are both excellent, but for you could also look into cadence, zapco, arcaudio, maybe tru, etc. theres alot of good stuff in that price range

also, personally i dont like rear fill, but thats just up to you. i would ditch the rear speakers all together and get better front speakers.

good call on the front speakers with the focals or dynaudio, cant go wrong there.

big debate on caps, imo completely unnecessary.

looks like you're pretty set though and you're definately in the right direction. good luck with your install

Default Probably not. Usually links to processors etc are made through the bus.

For Pioneer its the IP-Bus and for Alpine it's the Ai-net Bus. Both systems are proprietary.

Default I'd strongly recommend the JL amps

have 2 in my car and they're awesome. As for the subs, i used to have 2 10"s and it was plenty...i could feel them even at half volume. Hell, even my 1 10" can shake the car. Granted, my sstem isn't built for ground shattering spl, but even 1 10, with the right enclosure and power, can move air. 2 JL 10's should give you plenty of bass. rest of the system looks like it should sound good though
