Default Installed an Ice Link Plus in my allroad last night ...

Found a new one on eBay Canada for < $90. Thanks to all the great previous posts the install was a breeze. The only "challenge" is the Panavise bracket adds enough thickness where you need a little more muscle to get the head unit back in. The sound it great and the install looks great as well.

I only have one question. The Ice Link unit is hardware version 2.2 with firmware 2.10. I've followed all the directions for upgrading the FW to 2.15 (better feature set for my 5th gen iPod) and have not been successful at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate any feedback that the Audi brain trust might have.

Default This won't be very helpful...

I haven't upgraded my firmware in about three years, but recall it was an ordeal. I wish I could remember it more clearly, but I believe I had to run the upgrade a number of times before it actually upgraded.

Sorry that's not more helpful; best of luck to you.
