Can anyone recommend a car stereo shop and installer in the DC area, particularly Montgomery County or NW DC?

Also, what's the best place to install an amplifier in an Avant?

Hi John,

I was actually out looking today at options for my A6. Rockville Audi recommended a shop on Rockville Pike across from Wintergreen Plaza. Sorry about not remembering its name. I also checked out Excessive on Gude Drive (east from Rockville Pike). They are on the left hand side as you drive east about a mile down the road or so.

Thanks, Bill. Now that you mention it, I think I know the shop that Rockville P/A recommended. I had them repair the Blaupunkt tape deck in my old Camry, and they did a good job on it. Thanks for the info!

I had my work done at Myer-Emco in Rockville. They were not the best place for Audi's when I first went there, but they learned a lot on my car (not neccesarily the best thing). I would recomend them now (see Tony). I've heard some bad things about the place across from Wintergreen, but that was a while ago.

to explain any of the bad things you heard so i can get them taken care of? Not because my dad is the owner, but I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. I've worked around my dad's shop growing up, and had to fix cars that were originally brought to best buy and myer emco. But anything bad you heard, please expand.
