I am not very technical can you give me a brief explanation on how this is accomplished?? Also it mentioned CD changer in the trunk, which my 2005.5 does not have??

Thanks

Default Okay... simple explanation...

To connect your Ipod you have to do this:

Connect the power and data wires to the headunit via icelink, blitzsafe, etc.

Connect the audio wires to pins 3,4,and 8 on your SAT tuner in your trunk. This means you'll have to take the 3 audio wires out of your icelink or blitzsafe adapter and instead of connecting them directly to the headunit, run them all the way to the trunk to plug into the SAT tuner.

Your ipod will be accessed by pressing the CD button twice (radio will think it is a CD changer).

Refer to page 18 of the pdf for a schematic, just pretend the phat is your icelink or blitzsafe adapter.

Thanks, I am hoping with these instructions a local installer will be able to hook all of this up.

Have you heard of anyone doing this with a B7?

Default I would assume so....

but I don't want to spend the $$ on the IceLink and install time until I hear of someone actaully doing it in the B7 with Bose/Sat.

Well, I know it's been done in a B6 which has your exact headunit and sat tuner.
