iPod for Audi Navigation Plus

iPod for Audi Navigation Plus
I just purchased a 2005 Audi A4 Avant Ultrasport with many S4 mods and the 2007 Audi Navigation Plus system installed and working correctly. All these mods were done by the previous owner.
I was hoping the Nav Plus would play MP3 discs, but unfortunately it doesn't. I know it has the SD card slots, but that isn't too appealing to me since I have 41GB in music. That's a lot of 2GB SD Cards (the slots allow a max of 2GB cards).
What can I do to hook up my iPod to the Nav Plus. I'm up for any ideas, I'm looking for the best solution possible sound-wise. I love my music, I want it to sound as clear as possible.
I did notice somewhere an iPod adapter that fits in the glovebox, but I believe that wasn't for a vehicle with a Nav Plus system.
Can someone help me out please?

DVD Nav plus plays MP3 CDs
No MP3 DVDs though. Most of the iPod adapters work with the RNS-E but none shows title or artist or even playlist name. Most of the are limited to 5x99 songs and the SD cards are the most comfortable, cheapest option to play MP3 on the RNS-E. I have the ipod adapter and I always listen to SD cards instead of my iPhone, except when I'm on a long trip and have my iPhone on random through all the songs.

your fighting yourself here

If you want your music to sound as clean as possibe, you wouldn't be searching for ways to play your MP3. compressed formats reduce your quality substantially. This can't be new to you.

Re: your fighting yourself here
Sorry, I should have stated this differently. I would like my iPod to play as clean as possible, such as a direct Aux input instead of the dumb Monster Radio Transmitter. What are the best solutions to make my iPod sound the best in my Ultrasport?
stadtjunge, you made a good point, thanks for clearing that up for me as well as everyone else.

Re: iPod for Audi Navigation Plus
A little info that may help you, you can use 2X4GB REGULAR cards and you can add 500 plus songs to each card with no problem, just make sure that your ID3 tag is V.1 (so you can see all info about your songs). Hope it helps. I learned this the hard way.
