Default good choices all around..

Helix is highquality imported stuff. www.theautophile.com is the ONLY AUTHORIZED importer of Helix/Brax. So if yuor not getting it from them, DO NOT buy it. Buy only from Peter Lufrano at The Auto Phile if you want the 5 yr warranty.

I've always loved Zapco and their C2 series. Great stuff. Their newer stuff is also creme of the crop.

JL is no slouch in amps either.

I've had least experience with Orion. Tend to make high current low ohm amps which I have no use for.

I'd go with Helix or Zapco if I had the $$$ to spend.

Default I'd take Dynaudio out of that batch

But upgrade the tweeter to the MD130.

KEF isn't a big car audio manuf., so they are bottom on the list. I put Focal about Diamond in this case.

Be aware, the Diamond 5.25" drivers produce very LITTLE midbass, and I'm TOLD the Dynaudio's do, but others tell me the Dynaudio's rock midbass as well.

Default as far as the Diamonds having very little midbass...

i would say not, if you buy the cheap ones maybe, but if you get the m6 or hex and install them proberly the will rock, i used to use the 6 inch for subs in boxters and big body Merc's all the time... as far as Dyn, they are gone any way, plus ya need 200 watts per side to make them come alive, especially with the MD130, as far as KEF yeah they are small in car audio but make awsome speakers as they all they do
if ya run FOCAL ya have to buy the nice ones ($950) or dont bother, as far as cost effective, the Diamond are by far the best way to go, if cost is no object, get a Focal TLR tweeter and a Diamond HEX 6 inch for the kick (about $1750) for all of it but it works WELL

Default I have diamond HEX, and i never once mentioned the 6.5" driver

We're talking 5.25" drivers, and most ppl agree they suck *** for midbass.

The 6.5" drive has a lot more cone area, and I'm sure it has much better midbass.

My 5.25" HEX woofers flat out suck. They've also got 200watts per side and are in a sealed kick enclosure that are to Diamond's specs, so it's the drivers.

Default To Diamond Spec huh??? Being that I work at Diamond you would think

I might know what that "spec" might be, Free Air is the spec, no inclosure at all, it will limit the low (midbass) response of the woofer... so it seems like you might be choking the woofer by putting it in the enclosure.....

Just my opinion, no i am not Bias, I know hwat sucks and what doesnt as far as the 6 inch, i know what the post was about, i responded with a high end type of deal in the kick....

relax man

maybe you thought the m6 was in referance to the size, m6 is the replacement for m5
