XM radio on cd changer input
McIntosh MC427 on bose line output
Epicenter with bass control **** up front
plenty of dynamat in trunklid
taped off the vents behind the bumper
no rattles
The epicenter is just a preamp with a special equalizer for bass and a remote gain control. It takes the 1 volt line level signal going to the bose amp and brings it up to about 4 or 5 volts so that you don't have to turn up the gain on the amp which would cause distortion.
If you have a nice amp on the factory line out, I highly recommend a preamp.
Now to all you tight wads that think I'm stupid for mounting the amp upside down, you can kiss my white *** because this amp has two internal fans and it's mounted right to the deck which acts like a heatsink. I've had it in my last 2 cars and it does not get hot.
