Default Just lost left channel with Blitzsafe adapter...

checked all the connections and source (iPod). Removed and reset the radio. Looks to be the adapter, which had been working great for a month or so. HU works fine on all channels and other sources.

Anybody had this happen? Anything I'm overlooking or to check before I return to Autotoys?

TIA

turn Everything off, unplug and replug in the adapter, if you have nothing it's dead. I had both go out on my Blitzsafe awhile back.

Sadly Blitzsafe takes FOREVER to do a swap out with a Dealer, so DEMAND that the dealer cross ship a new one, and not make you wait. It took Blitzsafe 6 WEEKS to send my replacement back to my dealer.

Thanks. I guess it's dead then.

Default My P.I.E. Adapter arrived out of phase and distorted on Sat.

Never even worked 100%. Hopefully I can endure the replacement process started at logjamelectronics.com. I have heard that Blitzsafe and PIE are the inferior products and soundgate is the best. They are coming out in the next 3 months with an adapter for cd->RCA in the trunk, but nothing yet. Good luck with Blitzsafe, I have mixed results with all of them.

Default They are inferior products...

The connectors are crap. I'm concerned about damaging my radio with all the pushing and tugging needed to get a solid connection. Not to mention the "try this, try that" install procedures.

But it sure sounded good hooked to my iPod (for a month anyway).

Default I just spoke to the rep...

The story is that the need/desire to do anything more than connect non-OEM changers to OEM HUs is a relatively new demand, such that these adapters cannot be turned out fast enough. Since "most" of them WOULD pass a second testing, they are not retested before the maufacturer ships them to the suppliers. As a result the DOA/Failure rate is higher than most other audio technology in the market(but not significant enough to merit a redesign, respec or supplier change of components) in the adapater market. BOTTOM LINE- you WILL get one that provides years of service, it just may not be the first, second or THIRD one they replace. LoL. We're all in it together, but XM/Sirius/IPOD in the car is sooooo good, I'll deal with it as long as I can.
