Default LCD Nav System Recommendations?

I'm looking for some recommendations for an aftermarket LCD nav system.

High priorities:

-Flush mount, not the pop-up kind
-iPod integration capabilities
-NAV, of course
-Doesn't look like a Vegas slot machine or flashy ricer gizmo

Nice-to-haves:

-Telematics or XM NavTraffic
-Prefer all red or blue/white buttons to match OEM lighting
-Vehicle diagnostics might be cool

Don't care:

-Watching video, HD radio, rear camera, etc.

So far, the Pioneer D1 (although I don't like the green buttons), the Kenwood Excelon DDX8017, and maybe some combo of Alpine components seems to be the leading candidates.

Any other key players I'm missing?

Thanks,

DD

Default Re: LCD Nav System Recommendations?

From what I understand both Kenwood and Alpine do not support XM, so there goes NavTraffic.

Default Traffic vs green buttons, hmmmm...

Not sure which I'd pick. I might give up the traffic to not have green buttons.

To be honest, I usually don't have a lot of alternative traffic route options, anyway.

I choose to go with the green lights because I wanted XM and not the other. Not all areas are NavTraffic ready yet anyway.

Default Actually, the new Kenwood's do support xm

you just need to get the right adapter. I think the same is actually true of the new alpines as well

not sure if individual units support navtraffic though, as that's slightly different from just xm
