fitted these today, make a big difference as the sub is sealed off in the trunk/boot

buy 2 ports, cut holes, push in and bolt down-easy!!!!!!!!
there is a metal frame inserted into the padding so the top port has to be ground to fit around it but thats the only tech part involved the rest is straight forward. just make sure to use large disc type washers on the rear so that the bolts don't pull through as you tighten them and use some black fabric to cover rear of port when inserted so the kids don't poke toys through..

aren't you confusing acoustics though? I mean, you have these sealed subs in a sealed trunk, and low frequencies pass thru the whole car anyway, now you have some weird hybrid ported and sealed system?

cabs lose sound and yes it does make it sound better!!!!!
the sub is in sealed box of its own and i tried with the ski hatch open and then shut and did sound better with it open so in they went.......
cabriolets have different sound characteristics to saloon cars..
