Local shop wants to fiberglass and dynamatt my rear deck and put an open air sub..sound idea? ......
Weight is a major issue so he suggested stifening the deck where the rear speakers are and then placing a 12'' pioneer open air speaker and using the trunk as a box in theory? Looking for something for low end but not anything crazy and $$$. Really wanted a W7 until I picked it up they are like 50lbs in 12''. The pioneer is less than 20lbs IIRC.

I'm very happy with it
I mean my friends w3s are way louder but I'm listening to the music not every one else. It sounds really good-exactly what I was looking for. I have the gain down low and I know it could be much louder. It has deep bass and just sounds like it should. Rock/Dance/Jazz/Rap all sound great. Where are you located?
