Given that the front and rears are 5.25 and 6.5, wondering about the need for the Quart speaker adapters with the S4 Bose.

I read in one of the archives that matthewk said they were needed in front to fit aftermarket 5.25's correctly, wondering if anyone's had the same experience, and if they were needed on the 6.25's in back.

I'm hoping to duplicate matthewk's little trick of fitting 6.5's in the rear doors, we'll see. Anyone else do this? (Have 6.5 separates).

I have a 99.5 A4 (had Blose in it), with are the same as the S4. Here are some things that I have learned. Fronts are 4", rear doors are indeed 6.5", but both are have oddball adapters and there is no way to avoid using (creating) new adapters for both. You will also have to worry about speaker depth; no more than 2 5/8" (I think). Good Luck!
