Hi all - I want to hook my iPhone 6S to my car via cable so that I can control the music from the MMI, which I can't do via Bluetooth. I don't want to shell out $75 for the real Audi MMI Lightning cable. My car came with a real Audi MMI to 30-Pin cable. Has anyone used the real Apple 30-Pin to lightning adapter with this cable? Any issues? The alternative seems to be a 3rd party MMI to Lightning cable but the reviews for all of these online either don't exist or claim they don't work. This is for a 2015 A3.

I have done this and there is no issues, got the adapter at Target, genuine Apple and It was cheap. Remember that when connecting, your phone needs to be at least 80% plus charged or it does not interface properly. The IPhone takes a healthy charge and if it is below a certain threshold it did not work with the Audi interface. If you Google this it will come up. If IPhone is almost fully charged there is no issues and there will be none during use.
