Default Mounting the amp on the sub box. Possible?

would it be a good idea to mount the amp (that powers the subwoofer) on the top of the sub box?
Am I going to run into noise problem, since the amp is so close to the sub driver?

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Default Should be fine.... but it could be equipment dependent...

i know someone who has a PPI mounted right on top of a .8 cuft. enclosure housing a Boston pro 12 in his veedub. Sounds awesome, no problems. It's common practice to have amps installed in very close proximity to drivers especially with space-saving custom jobs, so I wouldn't worry much about that.

You will run into problems from long-term exposure to vibrations from the sub.
