Much work on the car stereo today...whew I am tired.
I ran power, ground, speaker, and rca lines to the trunk. I also modified the blaupunkt adapter to work with the stock harness. If that was not enough I built an amp rack for my xtant 121M, and 404M amps. I am still trying to decide where to place them. Tomorrow I will mount the rack and try to get the components in place.

also are you still interested in the rear deck/parcel shelf?

You said that it was from a 99.5 right? I don't think it is the exact same as my 2001. (more)
The noise makers for my car! Morel 3-way components in the front. No rear fill, and 2, 8inch Image Dynamics subs in the trunk. Amps are xtant 121M for the subs, and a 404M for the components. I have not bulit the sub box yet. Maybe next week.

Cool - my dealer actually told me(more)
that the deck would work in my car ( 2000 s4) but i dont know about 2001. No prob - i dont want to sell someone something that wont fit in their car!

nice system - I have ID 8s as my subs. They are awesome. They are so clean and hit hard if i want them to. my new system -Im going to mount them in a box that is attached to the rear deck and fire through the "factory" speaker locations.
Those morels sound really nice also!

Right on that is exactly what I am planning on doing. Good luck. How about this...
We compare systems when we are done. If mine is better, you give me the S4 and take my A4. If yours is better then you get my A4, and I have to take your S4. That sounds like a sweetheart deal for you.

hahah sure! sound like a great plan. :) il be working on my
system for the next month or so - hope fully i will finish it soon. i friken need to get my amp!!! Y do i make everytihing so difficult on myself. hahaha
