MY2K 1.8t Bose...r/c connectors in back?

I've read on the net somewhere that there are line level *and* speaker level outputs on the back of the Bose system. (but don't quote me on that) However, the line level outs are apparently not RCA, just wires in the factory harness, so you'd have to make your own connectors.
I also just got a 2000 A4 with the Bose system, and am very unimpressed with the sound, so I hope to upgrade it soon. I'd prefer to keep the head unit, as long as it has line level outs. If so, I can run its out put into a nice aftermarket dsp unit and take it from there.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Of course, there are always the speaker-to-line level converters. Never used them, but they probably add some noise into the system.
