Default Navigation database version

Hi all,
I am new to the forum so please don't judge me if I do something wrong while posting.
I was trying to find the answer everywhere but no luck.
Please look at the picture (not mine, downloaded from this forum, just for example). My question is what does the first number mean (8R00...) and does it matter while updating maps? Is it a problem if the first number is lower in the download maps than the first number in the car? Should it be same or higher than in a car?
I know the question might be confusing, but I am confused.
Thank you all for help in advance.

Media version indicates the version of software - firmware that is installed

Nav database version indicates the current version of the maps

8R ................... is the catalog number for the Q5 /SQ5 MY2009-2017

My conclusion is that the first number in Nav. database version matters and I can't choose just any map.

It must be clear to you that Audi cars share many parts with different platforms
8R - Q5 / SQ5
8K - A4
8T - A5
Only the three listed models share 75% of parts, mechanical and software
