Default Need 8" sub/box/amp recommendations

Hey guys!

I have a B5 S4 with the non-Bose system, and even with the hidden equalizer settings the bass just lacks when I'm at speed (too much road noise).

I'd like to place a small 8" in the back, with a small box - I guess I would need a speaker level splice or something right? I think I've seen recommendation for elemental designs subs, what are people's thoughts on those?

I'm trying to keep it low budget, since it's just a simple sub. I'd probably want to mount the amp on the underside of the deck, and place the box with velcro in a corner.

Thanks!

looks like you're headed toward the infinity basslink.

Default beats me, i have a full setup. but from what most people say, it does the job.

the downside is eventually i think they grow out of it and want "more."

Default How about a 10" Image dynamics IDQ?

Very small enclosure requirements(.3-.6 cuft), tight solid sound and you could drive it with as little as 100W if you're just looking to add a little low end reinforcement, although I'd suggest 200W. $170 for the sub and another $50-75 for a pre-built enclosure or you could build it yourself for about $20.
