Hi , I am purchasing 2 Aura 12" subs that are in a custom enclosure. What amp would you recommend to power them (looking for something not overpowering and not underpowering) and would you recommend anything in addition to the amp to get the best / safest sound from them. Here are the specs on a Aura 12".
12" Aura Subwoofer.
250W continuous power handling, 500W peak. Frequency response 20Hz - 1kHz.
4 Ohms nominal impedance
Free Air Resonance 24.09 Hz
Direct Current Resistance 3.40 Ohms
Thank You.

I think a <a href="http://www.cadencesound.com">Cadence</a> Z8000 would be perfect.<ul><li><a href="http://shop4sound.com//store/product_info.php?products_id=33&osCsid=11fd438 0bc5d46faa0eb35416d154394">$199 @ shop4sound.com</a></li></ul>

every manufacturer makes a 2-Ohm stable amp these days. I would try to find a mono block amp (class D, perhaps) that'll give them at least 400 watts total.
