You will have to splice into some wires in the back of the HU. To get the HU out, your best and safest bet is to go to the dealer, they got it out in 5 min, and didn't charge me, made some friends. I'll try to find you a link.

I followed <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/50404.phtml">these</a> instructions.
it was pretty much right on. I was unable to get the knee bolster off, but managed to get to the power dist block with it on there, although it was painful. If you are running a large amp, or multiple, I would suggest going directly to the battery though.

the hardest part was getting to the power distribution block.
