Default Need some opinions...3 JL 10w6's and Rockford Punch 800a2 for my A4

I'm looking into getting 3 JL 10w6 subs with a Fosgate Punch 800a2 for my A4. The amp will deliver 800+ watts RMS @ 4ohms so each sub would get around 267 RMS watts.

Right now I'm gonna keep my Bose system w/cd changer and use the Blaupunkt adapter.

What kind of SPL nums should I be able to hit with a setup like this?

How will the sound quality be?

Would the subs sound better firing into the car or into the trunk?

Whats your opinion of this amp?

Default in my opinion,

dont do it. if your going to have the stock bose setup up front, it will sound way too boomy and will overpower the soundstage horribly. you might want to consider putting in new speakers up front, and maybe two tens in the back for probably the same amount of money, or maybe a little more. by the way, the w6's are out of production, they have been replaced with the w3, and now they are coming out with a w7 series that is just ridiculous. just my $.02

Default Yeah, what Joe said. It's a solid bass component, but missing the rest

If you go with the W3's (I'm not up to date on what's the newest, etc), just be sure to get them in dual 6-ohm coils for your desired 4-ohm load. Also, while I haven't looked at the details, what's the difference between the Punch and Power versions of the 800a2? Something to consider. I like facing my subs into the car. I would imagine you'd hit mid 140s.

Good choice for subs, but I have a RF amp and I really don't like it that much.
