Need your help on the operation of speakers and amps

I'm installing a Nav Plus in my 1997 A8.
So after reviewing my Nav Plus system, I ran into another problem last night.
All the 00 and newer cars have the B pillar speaker (that little round thing just to the left of your left hip on the pillar between the front and rear door) powered from the radio.
The 00 and newer cars send the voice signal to the radio from the factory phone (and Navigation voice if your car is equipped with Navigation), then it sends it to the speaker.
On the 97-99 cars, it is wired to the DB-25 phone connector in the trunk. The 97-99's just run the output from the Motorola unit in the trunk to the speaker. This is how I have my Motorola V60 hands free brain box sending the signal to the speaker.
So becasue the Nav Plus has it's own Tel + and Tel - output (which is the sexy British voice that tells you where to go and what turn is next), I need to hook both of them up to the B pillar speaker in order for them to work.
Right now I have only the hands free system hooked up.
My question is, if I hook them up in parallel as shown in the picture below, will the diodes block the amplifer signal from the other unit that drives the speaker?
When the phone rings, it will automatically mute the Nav system and radio, so it won't send a signal at the same time as the Nav unit. Once I'm done with the call, it unmutes it and turns the Nav back on.

My Question is: Does the output of the amps to the speakers only contain a DC voltage that is zero to some positive voltage? Or does it ever supply a voltage that is negative? If it's only positive, it would work, if negative also, it wouldn't work.
Your thoughts?
Thanks.

Good luck on the install...I have been thinking about adding this as well.
I have read that you need a different instrument cluster for the CAN I-BUS connector...thingy?
Good luck Paul.
