Who makes the best smooth sounding tweeters either in a component or coaxial setup? I'm trying to avoid the harsh "tinny" sound that some manufacturers provide. Super smooth and super clear are the goals. Does anybody have experience with Diamond audio tweeters?

You should check out Dynaudio's car speakers. Dynaudio is the world's premeire high-end speaker company, and their soft-dome tweeters are what have really help make their name. no harsh tinny sound at all. They sound smooth to me.

And I have the HEX with silk dome tweets and they are anything but "tinny". Great speakers, IMO.

However, I have note listened to Diamond Audios, so, I have no opinion on those.
