Default OEM XM installation

Hi All,

I just installed the OEM XM tuner into my '05 (B6) A4 3.0 Ultrasport.
For some reason The factory radio will not recognize that there is now a SAT tuner connected.

I installed the XM tuner into the OEM space, plugged in to the factory harnesses, etc etc.

What am I missing? Is there something that I need to do to make the Audi headunit pair with the Audi XM unit?

One note, If I hold the SAT button down while switching the radio power on, the dash display reads "LOADING".

Any ideas?
Thanks to all in advance!

Default You may need to code you HU to see the SAT

With VAG-COM select address 56 - function 07:

?xxxxx: Options
+1 - Satelite Radio (US)
+2 - Digital Radio (Europe)

Did you install an IceLink or similar? If you did, did you remove the 3 wires from the 20pin connector to install the IceLink?

Hi,

Thank you for your help.
No I did not install am Icelink.

I will try to get my hands on a VAG-COM. Am I correct in assuming that an Audi dealer would be able to do this for me?

I would think they should do it for free under warranty... just go in and tell them XM doesnt work.

Default might not....if not factory equipped or dealer installed. Worth a shot though...

just don't be surprised if they charge you $70/hour to diagnose the issue.
