They can't use the stock harness.. #1.. so that's out.. and the TT electrical system is prone to
noise.
As far as your time correction thing.. the TT is small enough that it doesn't matter. That's not his issue. The imaging is screwed because of those rear tweeters.

Start with:
Remove the Becker headunit and get a decent Eclipse unit. Get rid of the no name amp.. and the no name rear speakers. Use the focals with a nice set of complimentary rear fill coaxials (you never want tweeters behind your head). Face the sub towards the rear also. And set your xovers on your amp.

Any reason why? Is it because of the distance between the two components? The factory location for the front tweeters is very low as you already know and the sound could be covered very easily by your knee...
