Default Please Help =( I am getting motor noise!
i installed my new alpine 7893 headunit in my 99 a4, and when i turn on my car, half of the time it produces motor noise. i am running it on stock speakers and 2 JL 12w6 subs with a JL 500/1 amp. there is a rca that goes from the amp in the trunk to the headunit or something...

please help if you know about this

Default Where is the amp grounded, how is it grounded, and
what gauge wire is it grounded with?

Default Connect ...
RCA cables minus (shielding or whatever minus is) to HU power minus at HU end, and do the same at amp end, e.g. connect RCA minus to amp ground.
