(I posted this in two forums, sorry)
So I am looking for a solution in playing MP3 and getting my old sub system migrated to the audi. I've done a lot of searching here and it seems this is the best solution:
MP3 Player
I have an iPod so all I need is the blitzsafe adapter. But does this need to get connected to the CD changer adapter from the trunk and get a RCA line to the front, OR, can it be directly connected behind the head unit? (non-bose unit)
Subs Installation
I have an amp and subs. I searched and it seems like doing a line level connection after the audi amp is best? Also hooking up a RCA Volume Controller before the Sub's amp is also recommended?
Thanks so much for the help!

Line level converters are bad news, you get inferior sound quality, distortion and additional noise and very often a weak signal to start with.
If you look on the tech forum there is a pinout of the rear amp (bolted to the left rear speaker), just hook into the the pre-outs & remote on that feed this, straight into your sub amp.

Under Tech/Electronics/A4 rear amp replacement:
The brackets represent the slots that slid into the male harness end. The side with the outward piece is the piece I chose as the "top".

1: White- Switch
2: Red-Blue lead to Right speaker
3: Brown-Red lead Right speaker
4: Red-Blue (thicker): 12v
5: Blue-Green Right pre-amp from head unit. I am assuming they are pre-amps as I got a voltage reading of about 1v with the volume full blast. It was just enough to just barely run the speakers or the pc-speaker at full blast as well.
6: Red-Green Left pre-amp from head unit
7: Brown (thicker) Ground
8: 2 Brown-black Grounds for pre-amp leads.
