the amp sits on two aluminum rails so air can circulate all around it as well.

The subs in the trunk cause enough air circulation to adequately cool the amps.

Haven't had any problems with overheating YET. Haven't gone through a hot summer with it (I'm in Seattle...) and with a newborn in the car, I'm mostly pumping out classical music at low volume.

there is no arguing that hanging an amp upside down is not good for the amp in the long term. Excessive heat draws back up into the PC board... and PC boards do not like heat.

Sooner or later you will probably experience premature failure of an amp for that reason. Unless you are lucky enough to get rid of it before that happens.
