Default lots of time going through crossover points and attenuation of rears...

the rears also may be running in mono now. not totally sure, but i do know that running them in mono helps. all i know is that it sounds damn hot upfront now. just the quarts are a little too bright. just a little, may drop the tweeters another level. but wow the oz matrix sound so good, and at less than $500, the price is right too. oz was the first speaker company to achieve a perfect 40 on sound quality. makes me want to give them a try.

Default i've been looking at the Oz Matrix...

I'm leaning heavily to replacing the Diamond HEX components I have. Lack too much in midbass, but I've discovered it may be an issue with the kicks I have depriving the woofer of enough air to perform properly. I plan to move then to the doors for some listening time in a more free-air environment to see how they sound.

I may replace them either way. The Dynaudio System 220mkII is looking like my top choice, and the Oz Matrix as well.

Stock head unit w/ blau adapter
Diamond Audio CM3 5.25" Components up front
Stocks in rear connected to RAF on Diamond xovers
1 10" Diamond M3 sub
JL 300/4 powering highs
JL 500/1 powering sub
1 Farad Cap
Trunk floor is hinged for easy spare tire access
Hits decently for one 10 and is very clean for using a stock head unit, need to get the remote JL bass control though. Also need to upgrade the battery, any brand suggestions for a one battery system?

Default It was a pro installation. Not sure where they ran the amp cables. It is run up the side to the

rear seats (I can see this if I try), but not sure if they ran it under the sills after that, or through the center tunnel under the carpeting.

More pics. I don't have any of the installation itself (it was done professionally by a top install shop in my area, and I didn't have time to go by and take photos), and all the other shots I have are just more of the same. Sorry.

Default there are posts about running wire, down the side is easy to do

and can accomodate a 4ga wire w/o problems. A 0/1g is pushing it.

Run pwoer down left side with remote turn on, speakers/RCAs down the right (fit 2 12ga, 2 16ga, and 2 RCAs down the right side)

The door sills just pull up (clips) and are screwed down with 1 screw in the rear seat are a(remove seat).

Also need to remove the front kick panels (2 screws).

Very easy to do.

Default optima...

or maybe a stinger, but optima seems to be the one. why the battery upgrade? it scares me to hear that people need to upgrade their batteries in these cars, especially when you mention that it only hits decent for one ten. i'm running half the amps and my ten will pound the heck out of you. if you just need a new battery, because the current is dead then go for it. btw, where do you live? also a line driver might help with the stock head-unit in getting a stronger signal to the amps. oh well the battery link is below.

optima batteries
