Power wire protection underhood??

Power wire protection underhood??
For anyone who has run their own 4AWG power wire from the battery into the car (for amplifiers), what did you use to protect the wire running underhood from moisture, heat, etc? Will plastic tubing do the job, or do I need shrink wrap or something else?
