If i just want to hook one 10" sub to my stock BOSE system...what all will i need?

I have a friend that will build the box and install for me...i know there is a converter i will need too...

what about an amp?

That's the bulk of it. You don't need to use the blaupunkt adaptor, you can just tap the speaker line before it gets to the amp on the rear speakers. Might need a line level converter for that, not sure. Other than that, you need an amp. Something that does 100 into 1 channel @ 4 ohms is standard issue for a 10" sub, but anything that does more than that is good.

So how much would an amp with the basics to push a 10" run me?

And the Blau converter is what, $30?

I like MTX for low budget amps. Shoot for roughly 100w into 1 channel for the 10" and I think you'll be happy. The 10" sub itself can run anywhere from $75 all the way to well over $30. I say look at something like the JL 10w0. Needs low power to perform and is an excellent sub.
