problems with bose system in '01 TT
maybe someone can assist me...
a few weeks ago, i had a CD in the changer and all of a sudden it started skipping tracks on it's own. i switched it back to radio mode and then the stations started jumping around on its own. a few minutes later, none of the buttons worked and i couldn't change/do anything. the only option i had was to turn it off.
i checked and reseated the fuse, i disconnected my battery, i cleaned the laser in the CD changer, but this problem still comes back.
sometimes, the unit works perfectly fine one day, and then has a mind of it's own the next day.
i just turned 50K and i'm out of warranty. would using the VAG-tool/software help me narrow down what the problem is?
any thoughts?
TIA,
Chris
