Question about Pioneer TV tuner....
I am getting the pioneer avd-w8000 which is a 8" LCD which will be my "headunit" but obviously I need something to control it. I have the bose stereo in my 2002 a4 and it has that center channel speaker up front... How do I pick a good tv tuner? Should I be looking for 5.1? Or better yet, could someone recommend one. Thanks

<center><img src="http://www.smashedhat.com/pattjin/audi/images/gallery/DSC02064.jpg"></center><p>I have the 8000 connected to the following in my 2002 A4:
avm-p9000r a/v receiver (Dolby Digital, dts, 5.1)
gex-P7000tv tv receiver (The have a new gex-p6400tv, i don't know what the difference is)
XDV-P9 6 disc dvd changer
AVIC-9DVD DVD navigation
+ some other misc stuff (cd changer, etc).
Note that the 8000 is not quite meant to work with the AVM series RGB inputs. It's only advertised to work with the navigation systems (AVIC-*). It kind of works on my setup, but there are a few quirks. Nothing annoying enough to not use the display, since it fits so well into the hole.
The center channel is real nice, the navigation voice comes out of there, as does the center channel when movies are playing. It's a little wimpy though (small).
