I know there are a bunch of write ups on this but i just wanted to be sure, before i ordered anything else.

I just bought a VW Phatnoise Phatbox with the VW cable in the box. I want to mount it somewhere in the trunk, but i'm not totally sure what cable(s) i also need to buy.

Would just this work?:

Any new suggestions on a clean mount in the trunk??

You need this part to go to the dash 4B0 051 735B. You insert the pins in the ISO connectors in back of the radio. You also need the round end Audi Din connector, from the back of the Phatbox to the 4BO. HTH I think I got the 4BO from world impex. I forget where I got the round audi connector.
