My 2001tt needed a boost and someone crossed the terminals. THe radio died. I tried to replace the fuse but Every time I put a fuse in it blows. The dealer spent 5 hours tryting to find the problem with no luck.
I was thinking of running new power wires to the fuse box and giving up on that circut
ANY IDEAS?

Does the radio work on the bench? or in another car?
Do you have Bose or non-Bose? (if Bose is a TT option, don't know)
What else is on that circuit? (You've looked in the service manual at that circuit, right?)
What size is the fuse from the factory? Does it blow when inserted or when you turn the radio on?

It is the bose, it is a 20 amp fuse, it blows as soon as you put it in. The rabio has been dead since I had it boosted.
I have not taken the radio out yet to test it.
The radio is on a circut by itself nothing elawe is not working

You may also need the radio code.
But if the fusebox fuse is blowing you need to disconnect the HU power and then try, to work out if it's the circuit itself or the HU.
