Anyone else have a hard time getting their head unit out. I used the DIN keys but cannot get it to release.
It felt like started to release but was afaid to continue thinking it should not be that hard.
Now the CD chnger wont work, gives me "error 3".
Ideas/Sugestions?

I have a non-bose, but they are the same unit.
I removed mine with keys I made myself, and it was a pain... It took about 15 minutes of pulling, and wiggling, and hurting my fingers before I got it out, it is just that hard. the botom track is rubberized so it doesn't rattle, but this makes it harder to remove.
I don't know about the error. maybe removing the power and plugging it back in will clear it.

Thanks.
I actually reviewd your website and made my own keys too. I got scrared when it would not come out. I actually damged the buttons near where the keys go in slightly. The plastic got smashed a little and the bottuns were sticking when depress. Also rubbed off some of the black surface. Sucks.

Just go to the dealership and ask them to pull the rado for you. I've just did it a few weeks ago (took 2 minutes) and they did not charge me for it. Audi does not sell original release tools as they are considered a safety feature against theft.
