Radio won't recognize CD changer

Hello, my 99 Avant cd changer quit so I got a panasonic unit on ebay, but the radio won't recognize it, any suggestions, thanks, Steve

D'oh! Did you *not* get the adapter?

Panasonic logo changers have a different electrical connector, so you will also need an adapter cable, crutchfield has it for $30. Part # 541AUPAN98.
