Default rear deck speakers

Ive got a 2001 1.8 sedan. When I installed my stereo a year ago, i took the rear speakers out of the deck to let the bass through, because I planned on installing rear speakers later. Now that I am ready to buy some more speakers, should i spend the money on a custom intall in the rear doors (non bose) or put them back in the deck. Will this make a big difference in the amount of bass getting through? My McIntosh MC4000M is flush mounted behind the seats so thats pretty much out of the question. Any insight?

Joe
