When I first saw the coupe (GT and Urq) in Europe in 82 they had a rear fog light molded into the trunk red plastic, very descrete when off, but hells bright when on. I would love to get it functional to shock tail gating ricebowls and SUV's.
I have an 85 coupe. cdn spec 5 cyl. and sure enough the molding for the light is there, but closed off. Further I think I have found the wires for it; i.e. the wireing harness is already in place (at least to the trunk).
I guess you can guess my questions. This probably needs to be directed to the European contributers.
Does anybody know what relay it uses and what socket it goes into? I also need the correct dash switch. I'd have a better chance of finding the plugs to it if i knew what was the proper sucket for it in the dash. I also need to find a supplier of these parts as Audi North America refused to get involved as it was not spec.
My Haynes seems to be limited to North American wiring variants up to 1982.
Just dreaming of a winter project for when I get the front suspension finished.
