Default Removing the rear deck...impossible because of child seat anchors?

I was trying the remove the rear deck to install new woofers as per the FAQ to get rid of the Bose system "bass boominess". But I noticed there are 3 anchors for the 3 child seat mounting points. They seem to be impossible to remove since the "screw" thing that secures the mounting bolt is welded onto the bolt and its washers.

Someone please tell me there's a way to remove the deck! I have a '00 silver S4.

Default well, on the a4, the plastic covers come off, and the bolts screws out.

Default I did this recently in my 99.5 A4...

and I had no problem. It only took a couple of minutes. If the rear seat/deck assembly of our cars is the same, here is the procedure to use. Disconnect the harness from the center brake light from the trunk. Drop the rear seats down. Grab the exposed edge of the deck and pull up at the far left, right and dead center anchor positions. The plastic poppers should come free fairly easily. Pull the entire rear deck assembly towards you along the seat belts. Now you have access to the rear speakers and you can get rid of those pieces of crap. Hope this helps!<p>99.5 A4 1.8TQMS APR Stage 1
