Replacement tweeters for 96 A4
I'm pretty sure that my front left tweeter is blown, but I'm not completely sure. Is there anyway to know for sure? Also, if it needs replacing, how much does it cost and where can i get the speaker?

IF it sound like someone is crumpling up newspaper instead of singing, it's blown.....
Don't mistake this for a ****ty radio at high volume tho. Fade the sound all the way up front and then try the right and left. If one sounds any different than the other its prolly screwed.
Best bet would be to get a replacement from the dealer, unless your feeling frisky and want to upgrade to aftermarkets.

i think the same speaker is blown on mine too.
sometimes you can tell, sometimes you can't...depends on what you're listening too. what i notice sounds like a dried leaf vibrating against the speaker. most noticeable when listening to AM talk radio or certain types of bass tracks. the dealer wants $60+ for the speaker, if i recall correctly. might have to bite the bullet if i don't find someone local with one lying around.
