Default Is this the right antenna adapter for an aftermarket HU?

<center><img src="http://www.mobilevideoauthority.com/i/Metra/40-VW10.jpg"></center><p>I'm getting a USB HDradio for my PC. It has the standard motorola antenna connector. I've read about needing a powered adapter to use the factory antenna with an aftermarket HU but never saw a specific link to that device.

Is this it?

Default No that's just an adapter you need one like this, with a 12v power connection:

Ok to hook up 12v wire to any 12v source or should it be switched?

Yes definately needs to be switched or you'll drain the battery
